1. What influenced Jordan in his goal to climb the Seven Summits?
  • Jordan's bulletin board outside of his third grade class influenced is climb to the seven summits.
Which influences came from outside Jordan?
  • The influences that came from outside Jordan is his family.
Which ones came from within Jordan?
  • The influences that came from inside Jordan was his self determination and willingness.
2. What challenges did Team Jordan face during the final climb to Everest’s summit?
  • Challenges that Team Jordan faced during the final climb to Everest's summit is there was avalanche and the ground caved in under neath them.
3. The author includes several examples of climbers who died on the mountain. Why do you think he does this?
  • I think he showed the many examples of climbers who died on the mountain to show that it really is a dangerous climb and that even trained grown adults die, trying to reach the 29,000 summit.
4. Some have criticized Team Jordan for putting a young person at risk. Do you think a 13-year-old is too young for such a dangerous feat? Explain.
  • No i believe that age is just a number and that you shouldn't be judged by age. If that person knows that they them self's can complete the task then that is there risk.Many American are to busy judging and trying to control others life's that they simple forget what the heart on a human can do when it is pushed.
5. What was most important to Jordan about climbing the mountain?
  • The most important thing to Jordan about climbing the mountain is he proved to him self that he could push him self to reach his goals.
What can others take away from Jordan’s experience?
  • Others can take out of Jordan's experience that age is just a number, and any goal that you dream you dream of can be accomplished with self support, moral support and a little willingness.
